Core Modules

The CareerHub core modules include the required base functionality to provide an online career ‘hub’ where both staff and students can interact with the central database and access or manage information.

There are two main interfaces provided in the core modules which are the Administration Interface and the Student Interface.

Administration Interface

This interface is where Careers Service staff and other administrators do their day-to-day tasks. It provides the ability to add, edit, label, search and manage the information in the database and is where administrators will undertake their daily duties of managing the content for the student interface and using the CRM tools to track their communications and relationships with employers and students. This is also where some system configuration will take place and where reports and access to all content in the database can be obtained.

CareerHub Today module - provides a brief an up-to-date summary of recent CareerHub activity. Read more

Employers module - allows Careers Staff to maintain details of organisations or individuals. Read more

Employer Contacts module - allows Careers Staff to maintain details of contacts within organisations. Read more

Jobs module - allows Careers Staff to search, add and view jobs. Read more

Students module - allows Careers Staff to search, view and edit CareerHub user information. Read more

Journal module - allows Careers Staff to search, view, edit and create journal entries. Read more

Events module - allows Careers Staff to search, view, edit, create and manage events. Read more

Messages module - allows Careers Staff to display targeted messages to CareerHub users when they log in. Read more

News module – provides management of news items within CareerHub. Read more

Frequently Asked Questions module - where administration of FAQs takes place. Read more

Websites module – manages your favourite links to external websites. Read more

Info Sheets module – manages your information sheets either through links to external websites or uploaded documents. Read more

Nag Messages module – manages your nag messages to students though a simple form. Read more

Peer Discussion module - enables you to find answers to common questions and perform any troubleshooting you may be experiencing. Read more

Reports module – provides specific standard and customised reports at the touch of a button. Read more

Configuration module – enables administrators to configure all aspects of site security. Read more

Student Interface

The Student Interface is where students, graduates, alumni, staff (non-administrators) or any other user types will access. The student interface is primarily for accessing data but not altering data. The only data that users can change within this interface is their own (personal details, education, experiences, skills lists, etc.). Once logged in, users are taken to the main homepage where users can search for and access relevant information that has been entered into CareerHub via the administration interface.
